Events in the Sales Outlet

What is more exciting than seeing the creation of a cheese first hand? For some years we have been organising special events dedicated to our customers to explain how a cheese is made. These photographs describe some of these initiatives that the Sales Outlets and shop owners/managers can request and organise in their premises.

Watching the creation of a cheese, open the affining jar of L'Ulivo or seeing the Cacio Faenum come out of its bed of hay, are some of the events that we can bring to your sales outlet.

If you too wish to experience and have others experience the true art of cheesemaking, contact us.

Opening of "Cacio Faenum"

Our staff will arrange for the opening of the old barrel that contains a hundred wheels of sheep’s milk cheese aged in hay, possibly with the collaboration of the department head or the store manager, who will be given the honour to open the barrel in front of the customers... and to taste the cheese as soon as the barrel is uncovered...

This event will turn out to be a great attraction.

Opening of "L'Ulivo"

The “Mother Jar” is a huge terracotta jar that contains wheels of sheep’s milk cheese aged in olive leaves.

An impactful event, the opening of this very big jar always catches the attention of the customers attending it.

Our staff will arrange for the opening of the jar, possibly with the collaboration of the department head or the store manager, who will be given the honour to open the jar in front of the customers... and to taste the cheese as soon as the jar is uncovered...

Formaggio Paiolo

Our cheese maker will make the cheese in front of your customers in the way peasants used to make it...

Using a special pot and some tools, he will demonstrate the processing techniques and the tricks of the old art of dairy-making....

This event will last about 2 hours. The highlight of the event is whey draining, which happens about 1 hour after the beginning of cheese making. Once the cheese is ready, the cheese maker will invite people to taste it.

Cheese tastings will go on through the day of the demonstration.
